Hello everybody,
My name is IreneB, indie artist born in Barcelona, Spain. I don’t really want to bother you with my resume, that you can easily find in my official artist website or in my Facebook. The thing is, by becoming an indie artist (I’m currently signed to Rama Music) and through the years I’ve struggled to get my music heard & understand what is really behind the music industry.
Before I got signed I was only on the creative stage of being an artist, I just knew I wanted to sing, and even though I put out my own demo around 2006 and promoted it myself, I didn’t really know what to do after. How do you get your music to radio? How do you publish it? What the hell is publishing? And copyright? I didn’t know absolutely ANYTHING about that.
It was only when I got signed and started doing my own research (many times to find NOTHING that helped us, indie artists) that I realized there was a whole new world of things I needed to know in order to have a mildly successful career.
As I say in my introduction video, that you can see here, I am not the “end all be all” of indie artists, most of you might not even know who I am & have some new tricks I can learn, but this is not so much about me, but about all of us indie artists, we need more people that give us advice & help us make it through this pond full of sharks. I want to do this to help you, and maybe get helped by YOU too! Because in the end, we’re all the same!
